Details
This project established a Renewable Energy Learning Center on campus, featuring solar panels, small wind turbines, and energy storage systems as demonstration sites for students, researchers, and local communities to learn and benefit from.
The center hosted workshops on designing and installing renewable energy systems, with a daily energy production database serving as educational material and research support for sustainable energy management.
In its first year, the center generated over 120,000 kWh, reduced greenhouse gas emissions by 85 tCO2e, and engaged more than 1,000 participants. The project aligns with SDG 7 and SDG 13, and fulfills 2024 indicators 34 and 96.
