We are moving forward into a new era of Kasetsart University. The mission of Kasetsart University is to create knowledge of the land for the well-being of Thailand and other countries. That is why the university initiated the proactive “6Us” policy to make KU a better place to study and to conduct top research in a sustainable way.
The proactive “6Us” policy aims at improving the university by leading in six areas as a green university, a digital university, a research university, a world class university, a socially responsible university, and a happy university. The launch of the 6Us policy was in response to the dramatically-changing environment and social conditions, the problems of global warming, the aging society and the rapid changes in cutting edge technology. These led the university to introduce three significant areas of knowledge as follows: The King’s Philosophy, community knowledge, and international knowledge. The three types of knowledge are integrated with the Four Missions of Thai Universities: the production of well-qualified students, research excellence, academic services, and arts & culture conservation. Therefore, our graduates acquire expertise and knowledge combined with moral principles to become global citizens.
