Kasetsart University was established in 1943 as a small agricultural and forestry college committed towards creating and developing human resources to become an important force in the development of the nation’s agricultural sector. Almost 80 years later, the university (the third oldest in Thailand) has developed its body of knowledge and evolved into both a fully-fledged comprehensive university and a research university.
Since its inception, Kasetsart University has grown steadily to become the largest university in Thailand, with four campuses. KU now offers Bachelor, Master, and Doctoral degree programs in a wide array of disciplines, including agriculture, agro-industry, architecture, business administration, education, economics, engineering, environmental studies, fisheries, forestry, humanities, physical sciences, social sciences, and veterinary medicine. Over the years, Kasetsart University has turned into an institute that serves the nation in producing highly-qualified human resources in these disciplines.
Even in its early years, Kasetsart focused on research and innovation. The university has consistently undertaken to embrace and foster technological and social initiatives that enhance educational opportunities offered to its students and communities, as well as address the contemporary needs of society, in Thailand and beyond.
