The project aimed to expand solar electricity generation at KU by installing systems on large-roof academic buildings and libraries with full-day sun exposure. Real-time energy logging was connected to a public dashboard, enabling students and staff to track production and consumption instantly.
Generation data were incorporated into renewable energy courses and used for actual building load management. The system helped cut annual electricity costs by over 2.5 million THB and avoided approximately 1,800 tons of CO₂ emissions.
Maintenance manuals and safety standards were developed, with staff training sessions conducted to support scaling installations on other university buildings. The initiative directly supports SDG 7 on clean energy and SDG 12 on efficient resource use.
