Details

To reduce cars and greenhouse gas emissions on campus, the Faculty of Engineering launched an e-bike sharing system with 15 docking stations and a real-time app for rentals and returns.

Solar-powered charging stations were installed, alongside a “Ride for Earth” campaign engaging 1,200 students and staff to promote sustainable travel habits.

In its first year, car use on campus dropped by 18%, CO2 emissions cut by 95 tons, and over 3,500 people used the e-bikes. The project supports SDG 11 and SDG 13, and fulfills 2024 indicators 34 and 96.
