Green Library Initiative: Energy-Saving and Knowledge Hub
Faculty of Management Sciences , Sriracha Campus
Details
This initiative by the central library created a model for sustainable learning facilities. All lighting was replaced with smart LEDs responsive to daylight, occupancy sensors cut waste, and a 350 kWp rooftop solar array was installed.
A “Green Corner” provided books and media on sustainability, and workshops on energy-saving and carbon-footprint reduction engaged students and staff to raise awareness.
First-year results: electricity use cut 29% year-on-year, with 420,000 kWh generated from solar. The project aligns with SDG 4, SDG 7, and SDG 13, and fulfills 2023 indicators 34 and 96.
