Details
This project partnered KU with local high schools to co-develop green supplementary curricula on climate change, resource management, and circular economy. KU faculty delivered classes and hands-on activities with students.
Activities included environmental projects, mangrove planting, wastewater treatment, and recycling initiatives, enhanced with IT tools for accessible learning. Over 1,200 students joined in the first year.
Results: student environmental knowledge and attitudes rose 40%, partner schools adopted the model, and KU gained new educational research datasets. The project supports SDG 4 and SDG 13, fulfilling 2023 indicators 34 and 96.
